1. Use of Our Service

AuthorScale provides tools for authors to create promotional social media videos for their own books. Personal authors may use it for profit, but publishers, agencies, and others creating promotional content for books written by someone else require a separate commercial license.

2. User Accounts

Users must provide accurate information when creating accounts and are responsible for protecting their login credentials and account activity.

3. User Data

Personal information including name, email, and payment details are collected. Usage is governed by our Privacy Policy.

4. Intellectual Property

User-uploaded content remains the sole property of the uploader. Any slideshow posts or derivative content generated by AuthorScale based on your manuscript is also owned by you.

Platform materials belong to AuthorScale and are copyright protected.

5. Use of Uploaded Books and Data

5.1 Purpose

Content uploads serve personal storage and slideshow creation only.

5.2 AI Training

AuthorScale.com ensures that any books or content you upload are not utilized in the training, development, or improvement of our AI models.

5.3 Security

We implement robust protections; your content remains private and confidential.

5.4 Public Data Sources

AI models use only publicly available social media data legally obtained.

5.5 Content Removal

Users can delete uploaded content via their dashboard.

6. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal, and Billing

AuthorScale subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected). By subscribing, you authorize AuthorScale to automatically charge the payment method on file at the start of each renewal period until you cancel.

You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to be charged for the next period. Cancellation can be completed at any time via your account dashboard or by contacting support@authorscale.com.

7. Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable. As subscribers retain full access to AuthorScale for the duration of their billing period, refunds will not be issued for any period during which access to the platform was available. This policy applies regardless of usage.

8. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a charge has been made in error, we encourage you to contact us at support@authorscale.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. We are always happy to work with you to find a solution, and resolving issues directly is typically much faster than the bank dispute process.

9. Prohibited Uses

Users must comply with all applicable laws and cannot use the platform for illegal purposes.

10. Platform API Services

Users must comply with third-party platform terms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) when posting content.

11. Termination

AuthorScale may terminate access immediately without notice for any reason, including Terms violations.

12. Governing Law

Swiss law governs these terms; disputes fall under jurisdiction of competent courts in Canton Schwyz, Switzerland.

13. Changes to Terms

AuthorScale reserves modification rights with notification via updated posting and date change.
